With all Incoterms/Buying terms with the supplier (FOB, CIF, Ex-Works etc), you will need to consider if your consignment requires insurance, it is recommended that you take out insurance with us for your cargo regardless if your buying terms are CIF, FOB or EXW (unless you have your own annual policy). It is important to note that most all CIF consignments do not cover your cargo from door to door, only from port to port, not to your warehouse - We have had many clients not aware that their cargo is not insured once cargo has left the Australian port or terminal. Australian Customs Brokers & Logistics is an appointed intermediatory distributor for Maritime Marine Insurance Policies. We arrange marine insurance policies for most cargo types and destinations; this includes the domestic sectors of your freight movement. We use only Australian insurance companies so you will be dealing with a local company.
